In essence, whether by choice or necessity, people acquiesce to legal frameworks as a fundamental pillar of a civilized and orderly society.

In general, there are two categories of circumstances in which individuals may defy the law. First, if people are unable to provide for their fundamental needs, such as food and medication to survive, they are likely to infringe upon the law, regardless of how severe the penalty may be. Second, it is reasonable to assume that people will disregard laws if they believe that they are consistently failing to provide justice in the sake of upholding a nebulous judicial system. It's interesting to note that some people breach the law simply because they are ignorant of it or don't care about it.

Last but not least, despite the extremely demanding duty they do to their country, police forces in my country don't exactly receive a fair remuneration package that would attract individuals to join as police officers.
