Describe a time you had disagreement with someone IELTS Speaking

Đề bài: Describe a photo that makes you feel happy

Bài làm mẫu:

One disagreement that comes to mind happened a few years ago with a close friend. We were planning a weekend getaway together and had agreed on a budget for the trip. However, during the trip, my friend started making expensive purchases and booking additional activities without consulting me. I felt these decisions were breaking the budget we had agreed upon and could put a financial strain on both of us.

I initially tried to overlook these expenses, hoping that they would not add up too much. However, as the weekend progressed, the expenses continued to grow, and I began to feel resentful and frustrated. I finally decided to confront my friend about my concerns and the fact that they were not respecting the budget we had agreed upon.

The conversation quickly turned heated, and we both became defensive and argumentative. We exchanged some hurtful words, and the disagreement escalated to the point where we were not speaking to each other for the rest of the trip.

Looking back, I realize that we both could have handled the situation better. We could have discussed our expectations and concerns before the trip and agreed on a plan to stick to the budget. We could have also communicated better during the trip to prevent misunderstandings and conflict.

Although the disagreement strained our friendship for a while, we eventually talked it out and found a way to move past it. It taught me the importance of clear communication and respecting each other's expectations in any type of agreement or partnership.
