IELTS measures the language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as a language of communication. The IELTS test assesses your abilities in the English language through 4 components – listening, reading, writing and speaking. This test assesses your abilities in the English language through 4 components – listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Although the test covers various subjects, only your English skills are evaluated in the test.
Depending on your English level, you may not need to take an IELTS course, but with IDP IELTS preparation materials, you can practice getting the best score you can get by knowing the question types you may encounter on the test.
You do not need any special computer skills. Please note that a QWERTY (Turkish/English) keyboard is used for the IELTS on Computer test. If you are not used to this type of keyboard, it may help to practice with one before you take the test. Don’t worry if you can’t type fast enough, the IELTS on computer is designed for people with normal typing skills.
There is no age limit for taking IELTS, but IELTS is not recommended for anyone under the age of 16. However, all candidates under the age of 18 who want to take the test must fill out the Minor Consent Form and send it to the test center at least one day before the test day.
