Test Format
Both Academic and General Training consist of four sections: listening (30 minutes), reading (60 minutes), writing (60 minutes) and speaking (11-14 minutes). The IELTS speaking test is generally completed on the same day as the other skills. However, in some sessions the speaking test may be conducted on the previous day or the next day for the paper test at the provincial test centers outside Bangkok.
