At IDP IELTS Test Centre Thailand, we are committed to providing equal opportunities and comfortable test conditions for all candidates, including those with disabilities or medical conditions that may require special arrangements.

If you need any form of assistance or adjustment during your IELTS test, please contact us at least seven (7) days before your test date. This allows our team enough time to prepare appropriate arrangements that ensure a fair and accessible testing experience.

Who Can Request Special Arrangements

Special arrangements are available for candidates who have disabilities, long-term medical conditions, or temporary injuries that may affect their test performance. These include, for example, visual or hearing impairments, speech or communication difficulties, mobility limitations, learning disabilities such as dyslexia, ADHD, or autism spectrum disorder, as well as chronic illnesses like diabetes or epilepsy. Candidates experiencing mental health conditions that require a calm or separate environment are also encouraged to contact us in advance.

Documentation Required

To process your request, you must provide a Medical Certificate or an official assessment report written in English, issued by a hospital or licensed medical practitioner. The certificate should clearly describe your condition and specify the type of assistance or adjustment you require during the test.

Please note: The medical certificate must be written in English and issued by a hospital only.

Examples of possible accommodations

Depending on your needs and supporting documents, we may provide:

  • Extra test time or rest breaks

  • Large print or Braille test papers

  • Use of assistive devices or readers

  • Modified Speaking Test format (e.g., additional pause time)
