Refund requests will be accepted from the test taker only. The refund will be credited back to the Visa/MasterCard credit card or debit card that was used for payment, and a refund fee may apply. Please be aware that refund processing times for debit card payments may exceed those of credit card payments, as the processing time is dependent upon the process of the debit card issuing bank.
Cancellation and Transaction Fees
1. Incorrect IELTS test centre
In the event that the test taker took the with the British Council but made a reservation with IDP, IDP reserves the right to deduct a 200 THB transaction fee from the amount refunded.
2. Duplicate payment or request for expired test report form
In the event of the preceding, IDP will offer a full refund to the test taker. However, if the refund is credited to a credit card or debit card, a service fee deduction from the test taker’s financial institution may apply.
3. Cancellation of additional test report form request, test date postponement request, or remarks request
In the event that the test taker decides to cancel one of the aforementioned requests, a 200 THB fee will be deducted from the amount refunded, and a refund form must be submitted within 12 hours after payment is made. IDP reserves the right to reject refund requests occurring under any other circumstances.
Note: IDP reserves the right to reject refund requests from test takers that have already submitted and made payment for additional test report form requests to be sent to organisations abroad via UPS.
Ask IELTS
When you request a remark, your IELTS test will be remarked by an experienced senior IELTS examiner who is not aware of the original marks awarded for each part - Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking. Your test centre is then notified of the remarked result and if the mark has changed, you will receive a new Test Report Form (TRF).
The request for a remark must be made within 6 weeks of the date shown on your Test Report Form (TRF). You can request a remark on the whole test or any part of it (Listening, Reading, Writing or Speaking).
Your result will normally be available in 2 to 21 days, depending on several factors including the number of sections requested for remark. If you have not received a response after 28 days, please contact your test centre.
If you feel confident that you have done better than your score shows, applying for an EOR is one option for you. This is marked by a senior examiner who marks it independently from your first examiner. After this second assessment, your score either stays the same or is higher, depending on the senior examiner’s rating.
EOR requests and all IELTS test day matters are handled by your test centre. IDP responds to the EOR requests by using a team of senior examiners.
