Policy for IELTS Academic & General Training

This section covers the cancellation and transfer policy for IELTS Academic and General Training only. For the IELTS for UKVI policy, please refer to the next section.

  • To Transfer Your Test Date: If you are more than 5 weeks from your test, you can request a transfer for a THB 800 fee. The new test date must be within 3 months from the original test date.

  • To Cancel Your Test:If you are more than 5 weeks from your test, you can cancel and receive a partial refund. A THB 2,000 fee will be deducted.

If you are less than 5 weeks from your test,you are not eligible for a transfer or refund, except in a proven, serious emergency (see the "Exceptional Circumstances" section at the bottom of this page).

Policy for IELTS UKVI Academic & General Training

  • To Transfer Your Test Date: You must be more than 14 days from your test date. The fee is THB 800.

IMPORTANT: Transfer requests made within 14 days of the test are not possible. Your request will automatically be treated as a cancellation (see refund rules below).

You can cancel your test at any time, but your refund amount depends on how much notice you give.

Policy for IELTS One Skill Retake Academic & General Training

This section outlines the specific requirements for candidates who need to reschedule or cancel their IELTS One Skill Retake. Please note that these policies and fees are distinct from standard IELTS test bookings.

Transfer Policy

Eligibility: Transfers are only permitted under exceptional circumstances.

  • A traumatic experience

  • Domestic crisis

  • Unavoidable legal or military obligation

  • Serious medical conditions which prevent you from attending or performing normally on test day.

  • Bereavement, or other forms of significant hardship.

  • Civil unrest, extreme weather

Deadline: You must submit your request and evidence no later than 5 days after your scheduled test date.

  • Processing Time: The test centre will assess your case and respond within 7 working days.

  • Fee: A processing fee of 800 THB is required once a transfer is approved.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Full Refund: Available if the request is submitted at least 48 hours before the test date.

  • Partial Refund: Requests made less than 48 hours before the test are only considered under exceptional circumstances.

Administrative Fee: A 2,000 THB fee will be deducted from the booking fee for all approved cancellations.

What If I Have an Emergency? (Exceptional Circumstances)

Candidates can submit a request less than 5 weeks before the test date if your case is related to a case of exceptional circumstances according to IELTS Policy:

  • A traumatic experience

  • Domestic crisis

  • Unavoidable legal or military obligation

  • Serious medical conditions which prevent you from attending or performing normally on test day.

  • Bereavement, or other forms of significant hardship.

  • Civil unrest, extreme weather
