Considering taking the IELTS paper-based test? You can choose to take either the Academic or General Training module in this format. The test content, question types, timing, scoring, and results are exactly the same as the computer-based IELTS. The main difference lies in the test-day experience and method of answering.
The Listening, Reading, and Writing sections are all conducted on the same day with no breaks in between.
You will be required to use a black pen provided by the test center to complete your answers.
Before each section begins, invigilators will distribute the question booklets and answer sheets. Once a section is complete and papers are collected, the next section will begin.
The Speaking test is conducted face-to-face with an IELTS examiner.
It may be scheduled up to a week before or after your written test date, depending on availability.
Regardless of the test format you choose, your IELTS results are equally recognized worldwide. Choose the option that best suits your test-taking style!
