  • PTE Academic:  The PTE Academic is the most popular test accepted globally for study, work, and migration. It assesses speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills in an academic context. Recognised by universities, employers, and governments worldwide, it’s a versatile choice for various purposes, including visa requirements and professional registration.

  • PTE Academic Online: PTE Academic Online offers the same comprehensive testing as PTE Academic, but from the comfort of your home. Increasingly accepted by institutions for study applications, it provides flexibility while maintaining the same format and scoring as the in-centre test.

  • PTE Core: The PTE Core is a general English proficiency test recognised by the Canadian government for immigration and citizenship applications. It assesses English skills in real-life scenarios, making it ideal for those moving to Canada or applying for Canadian citizenship.

Potential additional PTE exam costs

Aside from the test fees, there are additional costs of taking the PTE that you should be aware of:

PTE exam cancellation fees in Malaysia

If you need to cancel your PTE exam, you can get a full refund if you cancel at least 14 calendar days before your test date. Cancelling between 7 to 13 calendar days before the test will get you 50% of the fee back. If you cancel less than 7 days before the test, there will be no refunds.

PTE exam rescheduling fees in Malaysia

If you reschedule your PTE exam date 14 calendar days before your actual test date, there will be no additional fees. If you reschedule between 8 to 13 days before the PTE exam, you will be required to pay 50% of the original price. For rescheduling less than 7 days before the test, you will have to pay the entire test fee in full.

Sending scorecards

Sending your score report to universities and colleges is straightforward, fast, and free since it is digital.

Retests

The PTE score report is valid for two years from the test date and three years for Australian immigration purposes. If you need to prove your eligibility beyond this period, you'll have to retake the exam and pay the fees again.
