Important Information for IELTS Test Takers

⚠️ Responsibility Guidelines

Test takers are responsible for checking the test venue, test time, and important instructions before the test.

Parking is not available at any test venue. Please use public transportation.

🚫 The following reasons will prevent test takers from taking the test

No Postponement or Cancellation/Refund.

  • Failure to bring a valid original passport

  • Arriving at the wrong test venue

  • Failure to arrive before the final entry deadline for the Listening/Reading/Writing(LRW) or Speaking test

✅ Important Pre-Test Checklist

Please Check All Items Carefully.

  • Log in to your book.ielts.idp.com/account

  • Check the test venue and exact address

  • Check the test module (Academic / General Training)

  • Arrive at the test centre at least 30 minutes before the test starts (Test time and test order may differ for LRW and Speaking test; please check the schedule in advance)

  • Bring a valid original passport

  • Parking is not available at any test venue, so please use public transportation.

  • Test takers are required to reconfirm the test time they have selected on the link.

  • Arrive at the test centre at least 30 minutes before LRW and Speaking test.

  • Entry will not be permitted from 10 minutes before the start of the test; All test takers must arrive at the test venue before this final entry deadline.

  • It is test takers’ responsibility to verify the test venue and test time, and IDP is not responsible for any disadvantages resulting from failure to check this information.

  • Test takers must ensure they review the “Important details for your IELTS test” confirmation email sent after registration.

  • Also check the reminder Kakao Talk message or text message sent the day before the test.

1. 1. Entry is not permitted after 8:50 AM for the morning exam and after 1:20 PM for the afternoon exam.

2. If you have not received the email confirming your IELTS booking and exam instructions, please contact IDP. IDP assumes no liability for any disadvantages resulting from a candidate's failure to check announcements.

3. You must arrive at the test centre 30 minutes prior to the start of all exams (L/R/W/S).

4. IELTS on Computer scores are available within 1 to 5 days of the test date.

5. Score releases may be delayed for some candidates due to a random review process. ▶ Result Withheld 참고

6. If you do not take any subjects, your score report will not be issued.

During the test you MUST/MUST NOT

During the test, you must

  • Please listen carefully to the instructions from the exam administrator and supervisor.

  • Upon entering the room, please verify that the personal information on the label attached to your desk is your own.

  • If you have any questions during the exam, please raise your hand and ask a supervisor for assistance without making a sound.

  • Please refrain from any behaviour that may disturb other examinees during the exam.

During the test, you must NOT

※Candidates engaging in the following behaviours during the exam will be considered to have committed cheating, and the exam will be invalidated, resulting in no score report being issued.

  • Upon detection, both the client and the proxy will be considered perpetrators of cheating.

  • Possessing electronic devices or paper items in the examination room is considered cheating; the candidate will be immediately ejected and will not receive a score report.

  • Bringing electronic devices capable of recording audio or video into the examination room is considered cheating.

  • Anyone who looks at another candidate's answer sheet, requests to see it, or complies with such requests will be ejected.

  • Conversation with other candidates is prohibited from the start of the exam until its conclusion, and borrowing necessary items from other candidates during the exam is strictly forbidden.

  • Taking notes on exam content without instructions from the examiner, failing to return exam-related tools, or taking them outside the examination room are all prohibited.

  • Asking questions about exam questions during the exam is prohibited, and the invigilator may, at their discretion, refuse to answer questions that could affect exam results.

  • Failure to comply with a supervisor's request for restraint or management/supervision, in accordance with applicable regulations, is also considered misconduct.
