The official IELTS by IDP app is here! Download it today.
Getting your IELTS IDP test results is easy. If you take the IELTS test using a computer, your test results will be available within 1 to 5 days after completing your test. Or if you choose to take a paper-based test, your test results will be available 13 days after your test.
Your results are reported as a band score ranging from band 0 to band 9, where each band score reflects your level of English proficiency. You will get an overall score, as well as scores for each section of the Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking test.
If you are not satisfied with your IELTS test results, you can request a remark within 6 weeks of your test date. This process takes between 2 hours and 21 days, and if your band score changes, you will be refunded the fees associated with applying for a remark.
IELTS scores range from 0 to 9, known as band scores, assigned to each of the four test sections—Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking—as well as an overall band score. This band score system is designed to provide a clear and consistent measure of your English language proficiency. The overall band score is the average of the four section band scores rounded to the nearest half band.
Each band score has a specific descriptor that explains your English proficiency level, from "non-user" (band score 1) to "expert" (band score 9), so understanding what is the minimum score required for IELTS depends on what kind of visa you are applying for. For example, a band score of 6 in Listening indicates a competent English user, while the same score in Writing might suggest you can engage with most arguments effectively but might make some mistakes.

The time it takes for IELTS results to be released in Indonesia depends on the test format. Computer-delivered IELTS results are typically available online within 1–5 days, while paper-based IELTS results are published 13 days after the test.
To check your IELTS results, log in to the IELTS results portal or the test centre where you registered. Use your test date, identification document number, and candidate details to access your official band scores.
Your IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) is the official document that shows your English proficiency, available either as a physical paper TRF or an electronic version (eTRF). The eTRF system enables faster and more secure sharing of your results with universities, employers, and other organisations, helping streamline application and verification processes.
Your IELTS TRF is valid for two years from your test date, and institutions can verify your results online at any time during this period. This ensures your scores are recognised and trusted globally while your TRF remains active.
To share your IELTS scores, simply provide your TRF number to the institution. They can use this number to access and verify your results quickly and securely through the official IELTS verification portal. This makes it easier for organisations to review your English proficiency and make faster decisions on admissions, employment, or migration opportunities.
If you believe your IELTS scores do not accurately reflect your performance, you may request a remark through the Enquiry on Results (EOR) process within six weeks of your test date. During an EOR, one or more sections of your test can be re-marked by senior examiners who are not aware of your original scores, ensuring a fair and unbiased review.
The processing time typically ranges from 2 hours to 21 days, depending on which sections are re-marked and the volume of requests. If your score changes after the remark, the EOR fee will be fully refunded, and an updated Test Report Form (TRF) will be issued. This option provides test-takers with the assurance that their results have been evaluated accurately and transparently.
IELTS scores are valid for two years from the test date. To maintain or improve your English proficiency within this period, engage in continuous learning and practice. This ensures your language skills remain sharp and ready for future testing or application requirements.
If you wish to improve your scores, you must retake the entire IELTS test; there is no option for retaking individual sections alone. This policy encourages comprehensive language proficiency improvement, ensuring candidates are well-prepared across all aspects of English communication.
