IDP Philippines, in partnership with Ray A Gapuz Review System, officially launched a new shared IELTS testing lab in Lipa, Batangas. Officially opened on October 4, this new facility expands access to the internationally recognized English proficiency test for students and professionals in the region.
The opening ceremony, held at the MVL Business Center Bldg., JP Laurel Hwy., Lipa City, featured a ribbon-cutting event and a tour of the state-of-the-art facility. It was attended by key representatives, including Dr. Ray A. Gapuz and Engr. Maria Elena Altarejos, president and chief-operating-officer of the review center, respectively. IDP Philippines, meanwhile, was represented by Business Development Officers Patric Gonzales and Ally Alvarez.
Universities and educational institutions in the vicinity, particularly Batangas State University - Lipa, De La Salle Lipa, and EHub International, also sent in their representatives. Sheryl Gonzales, owner of the MVL Business Center, was also present.
Patric Gonzalez delivered welcoming remarks, highlighting the significance of expanding IELTS testing options in Batangas to better serve local test-takers. Dr. Ray A. Gapuz also addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of having accessible IELTS testing facilities in Batangas to support the educational and professional ambitions of the community.
In the afternoon, the two institutions hosted the “IELTS Day,” a series of four seminars facilitated by IDP staff and instructors from Ray A Gapuz Review System. These sessions, attended by several future IELTS test-takers, were designed to prepare and equip future IELTS candidates in Batangas with valuable tips and insights to help them succeed in the exam. #
