Join Organisations Webinar: Recognising IELTS, Recognising Excellence
The IELTS Speaking test takes between 11 and 14 minutes and consists of 3 parts. You’ll do your Speaking test face-to-face with a certified IELTS examiner, which gives you the opportunity to prove your real-world communication skills to future employers, educational institutions and professional organisations.
The IELTS Speaking test follows the same format for both the IELTS General Training test and IELTS Academic test.
To show you what you can expect on test day, we’ve created the IELTS Speaking Test Video Series.
During this three-part series, you’ll learn about the IELTS Speaking test structure and question types you’ll see in each part. Get tips on how to prepare and perform at your best so you can get on and enjoy your new life.
In each video, you’ll see someone practising questions from each part of the Speaking test and an IELTS expert who gives valuable advice on how to approach these tasks.
We created these videos to help you understand the format of the IELTS Speaking test. It’s not a real test, so no score was given. You might notice some language mistakes along the way as the videos show a real person practising real test questions. We hope you enjoy learning from their experience!
Preparing well for the IELTS Speaking test not only helps you perform confidently on test day but also builds the communication skills you’ll need to succeed in the next stage of your journey.
