The IELTS by IDP Dinner’s On Us Contest (the “Promotion”) is run by IDP Education Canada Ltd. (the “Sponsor”). By participating in the Promotion, you are signifying your agreement that you have read and agree to be legally bound by these official rules (the “Official Rules”). The Promotion is open to residents of the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia only. The Sponsor is the sole operator of the Promotion, and the Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Google, META, The Ultimate Dining Card, or any other rewards cards or fulfillment system chosen by the Sponsor.

1. Methods of Entry.
1.1 IDP TEST ENTRY METHOD. AN INDIVIDUAL THAT PURCHASES AND TAKES AN IELTS HIGH STAKES COMPUTER DELIVERED ENGLISH TEST (EXCLUDES PAPER DELIVERED TESTS) DELIVERED AT A SPECIFIC PARTICIPATING TEST VENUE MANAGED BY THE SPONSOR DURING THE ENTRY PERIOD IS (SUBJECT TO MEETING OTHER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS) AUTOMATICALLY ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROMOTION. TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR A PRIZE, TEST TAKERS MUST TAKE THE TEST AT AN ELIGIBLE VENUE; PARTICIPANTS WHO CANCEL OR DO NOT COMPLETE THE TEST WITHIN THE ENTRY PERIOD WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR A PRIZE. 1.2 NO PURCHASE ENTRY METHOD. AN INDIVIDUAL MAY PARTICIPATE IN THE PROMOTION WITHOUT PURCHASING OR TAKING AN IELTS TEST BY MAILING A POSTCARD TO IDP Education Canada, ATTN: IELTS BY IDP DINNER’S ON US CONTEST, 2345 Yonge St Suite 900, Toronto, ON M4P 2C8 INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: Full Legal Name, Phone Number, Email Address, Residential Address (which must be located in Alberta or British Columbia). POSTCARDS MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN THE ENTRY PERIOD TO BE ELIGIBLE.
1.3. LIMIT PER PERSON. THERE IS A LIMIT OF ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON. IN THE CASE OF MULTIPLE ENTRIES (EITHER BY PURCHASING AND TAKING MORE THAN ONE ELIGIBLE TEST OR SUBMITTING MORE THAN ONE POSTCARD ENTRY FORM), ONLY THE FIRST ELIGIBLE ENTRY WILL BE CONSIDERED. ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT TO OBTAIN MORE THAN THE STATED NUMBER OF ENTRIES BY USING MULTIPLE/DIFFERENT EMAIL OR ADDRESSES, ACCOUNTS, IDENTITIES, REGISTRATIONS OR LOGINS, OR ANY OTHER METHODS WILL VOID THAT PARTICIPANT’S ENTRIES AND THE PARTICIPANT MAY BE DISQUALIFIED.
2. Prizes.
2.1 PRIZES. THERE WILL BE A TOTAL OF 500 PRIZES AVAILABLE, EACH PRIZE CONSISTING OF ONE (1) $100.00 (One Hundred Canadian Dollar 00/100) ULTIMATE DINING GIFT CARD (a “Prize”), WITH A RETAIL VALUE OF $100.00 CANADIAN DOLLARS. THE ODDS OF WINNING WILL DEPEND ON THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED DURING THE ENTRY PERIOD, BUT ARE ESTIMATED TO BE APPROXIMATELY 1 IN 6.
2.2 SKILL TESTING QUESTION. TO BE DECLARED A WINNER AND RECEIVE A PRIZE, A SELECTED PARTICIPANT MUST, IN ADDITION TO MEETING ALL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND OTHERWISE COMPLYING WITH THESE RULES, CORRECTLY ANSWER A MATHEMATICAL SKILL-TESTING QUESTION, UNAIDED AND IN THE TIME LIMITS PROVIDED. FAILURE TO ANSWER THE SKILL-TESTING QUESTION WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION.
3. Eligibility. The Promotion is open only to legal residents of a Provinces of Alberta and British Columbia (the “Territory”) who have reached the legal age of majority in their Province of residence at the time of entry. PRIZE ELIGIBILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FIRST 3,000 PARTICIPANTS OF THE PROMOTION. Winning is pending vetting by the Sponsor confirming the participant is in good standing with the eligibility of the PROMOTION and these OFFICIAL RULES. Employees, representatives, agents, officers and directors (and each of their immediate family members (i.e., parents, legal guardians, children, grandparents, grandchildren, spouses or siblings and their respective spouses)) and those living in their same households, whether or not legally related, of the Sponsor or third party prize suppliers and each of their parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to enter or win the PROMOTION. By participating, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are binding and final on matters relating to the PROMOTION including, without limitation, interpretation of the Official Rules.
4. Entry Period. The PROMOTION begins at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Canada Eastern Time on April 1st, 2025 and closes at 12:00 am (midnight) Canada Eastern Time on June 30th, 2025 (the “Entry Period”). All entries must be received during the Entry Period. For participants entering by way of the test-taking entry method, the booking for the IELTS by IDP Test must be made during the Entry Period and the IELTS by IDP Test must be taken at an eligible location during the Entry Period to be eligible for a Prize. Sponsor’s computer and booking system is the official time-keeping device for the PROMOTION. All mailed entries will be considered to be received for the purposes of the Promotion when the entry is actually received by the Sponsor according to its records. It is each individual’s responsibility to observe time zone differences.
5. How to Enter.
To enter the PROMOTION:
Test-Taking Entry Method: 1.) During the Entry Period, visit https://ielts.idp.com/canada/test-dates, 2) Book an IELTS on Computer Test using the platform at a participating test center during the Entry Period 3) Take the test at participating test centers during the Entry Period. Participation is untransferable to another person or name. Booking at non-participating test centers or other IELTS suppliers are not eligible for participation in the Promotion.
No Purchase Entry Method: BY MAILING A POSTCARD TO IDP Education Canada, ATTN: IDP DINING PROMO CONTEST, 2345 Yonge St Suite 900, Toronto, ON M4P 2C8 INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: Full Legal Name, Phone Number, Email Address, Residential Address.
For the purpose of the PROMOTION, those who do not follow all of the instructions or abide by these Official Rules or other instructions of Sponsor may be disqualified at the Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. All bookings or other entries that are late, illegible, incomplete, damaged, destroyed, forged or otherwise not in compliance with the Official Rules may be disqualified from the PROMOTION in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means and entries by any means which subvert the entry process are void.
In the event of a dispute as to the identity of any participant who submits a postcard entry form or test booking, the entry will be deemed submitted by the holder of the email account associated with the booking or listed on the postcard entry form. Postcard entries that do not include a valid email address may be subject to disqualification. The “account holder” is the person assigned an e-mail address or service by the organization responsible for assigning addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Winner(s) may be required to show proof of being the registered account holder. If a dispute cannot be resolved to the Sponsor’s satisfaction, the entry will be deemed ineligible. Sponsor and affiliated entities are not responsible for lost, misdirected, misplaced, stolen, tampered with, deleted, or invalid entries.
Sponsor is not responsible for any expenses incurred in the booking or taking of the IELTS test that is participating in the PROMOTION. Message and data rates and/or wireless Internet access charges may apply to the use of a mobile or computer device for entry, if entering via the test booking method; however, no purchase is required to participate in the Promotion and participants may enter using the alternate mail-in method described in these Official Rules (sufficient postage required).
6. Determining the Winner.
No later than July 18th, 2025 the Sponsor will select 500 winners at random from the total number of eligible entries received during the Entry Period (each, a “Winner”). The Sponsor will notify each Winner no later than July 31st, 2025 via email to the email address provided by the Winner through their online booking or on their postcard entry form, as applicable. Such notice will set out the process for administering the skill-testing question (which may, in the Sponsor’s discretion, be administered by telephone or email). The Winner will have 3 days to acknowledge receipt of the notification and make arrangements with the Sponsor to complete the skill-testing question. If the notice is not acknowledged within the 3 day period, or the selected entrant is unable to correctly answer the skill-testing question in accordance with the process provided (or otherwise does not meet the eligibility criteria), the Sponsor will select an alternate winner at random from the remaining pool of eligible entries received. This process will be repeated until all Prizes have been awarded, or there are no remaining eligible entries. The Winner shall be required to sign an eligibility and release in order to claim the Prize. The Prize will be delivered to the Winner electronically, no later than August 31, 2025, to the email address provided on the booking or entry form.
7. Prize Conditions.
Prizes subject to availability. In the event that, for any reason (including, without limitation, as a result of an error, malfunction or defect in the design, advertising, management, implementation or administration of the Promotion, whether mechanical, electronic, human or otherwise) the number of declared Winners or the number of Prizes claimed by participants is greater than the number of Prizes available, the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to end the Promotion, in whole or in part, without notice.
All costs and expenses related to Prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being awarded shall be the sole responsibility of the Winner, including, but not limited to, (i) all applicable federal, provincial, and local taxes (including income taxes). The dates for fulfillment of the prizes are subject to change at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to modify the PROMOTION in its sole discretion and award a substitute prize, or portion of prize, of equal or greater value as set forth in these Official Rules.
Prizes are non-transferable or exchangeable, with no cash redemptions, equivalents, or substitutions except at Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. All Prize details not specified in these Official Rules will be determined at Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. Use of the Prize is subject to such terms of use as imposed by the issuer thereof.
8. General Conditions.
Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the PROMOTION, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the PROMOTION, as determined by Sponsor at its sole discretion. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, stolen, misdirected, or illegible entries; lost, interrupted, or unavailable network, server, or other connections, garbled transmissions or miscommunications, telephone transmission problems; computer or software malfunctions or damage to a user’s computer equipment (software or hardware); technical failures; or other errors or malfunctions of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, or otherwise. Proof of sending a booking by email or other means will not be deemed proof of booking by Sponsor. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
9. WARNING.
ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY SPONSOR COMPANY WEBSITES, ACCOUNT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROMOTION OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAW, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PROSECUTE AND SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be attempting to tamper with or undermine the entry process, any website or account associated with the PROMOTION, and/or the legitimate operation of the PROMOTION; to violate the Official Rules; or to act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person. If, for any reason, the PROMOTION is not capable of running as planned, Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, void any suspect entries and (a) modify the PROMOTION or suspend the PROMOTION to address the impairment and then resume the PROMOTION in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules; or (b) award the prizes in accordance with Section 5 above from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment.
10. PUBLICITY; LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY; RELEASES; INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY.
By participating in this PROMOTION, participants agree that IDP EDUCATION CANADA LTD., and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, consultants, contractors, legal counsel, advertising, public relations, promotional, fulfillment and marketing agencies, website providers, web masters, and their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, successors, assigns and agents (the “Released Parties”) are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by participants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the PROMOTION; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the PROMOTION; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the PROMOTION or the processing of entries; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from a participant’s participation in the PROMOTION or receipt or use or misuse of any Prize. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded.
BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS PROMOTION, PARTICIPANTS AGREE THAT THE RELEASED PARTIES WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND SHALL BE RELEASED, DISCHARGED AND HELD HARMLESS BY PARTICIPANTS AGAINST, ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, ACTIONS, DAMAGES, DEMANDS, ANNER OF ACTIONS, CAUSES OF ACTION, SUITS, DEBTS, DUTIES, ACCOUNTS, BONDS, COVENANTS, WARRANTIES, INDEMNITIES, CLAIMS OVER, CONTRACTS ND LIABILITY OF ANY NATURE OR KIND ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH ANY INJURIES, LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND TO PERSONS, INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH, OR PROPERTY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, MISUSE, OR USE OF A PRIZE, ENTRY, OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS PROMOTION OR IN ANY PROMOTION RELATED ACTIVITY, OR ANY CLAIMS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION OR INVASION OF PRIVACY, OR MERCHANDISE DELIVERY. THE RELEASED PARTIES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF ANY PRIZE CANNOT BE AWARDED DUE TO INTERRUPTIONS DUE TO ACTS OF GOD, ACTS OF WAR, NATURAL DISASTERS, WEATHER, TERRORISM, OR ACTUAL OR THREATENED PUBLIC HEALTH CRISES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, PANDEMICS AND EPIDEMICS AND ANY GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWNS OR RESTRICTIONS RELATED THERETO).
WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, EVERYTHING REGARDING THIS PROMOTION, INCLUDING ALL PRIZES, ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
PUBLICITY RELEASE. EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW, WINNER GRANTS TO SPONSOR (WHICH GRANT WILL BE CONFIRMED IN WRITING ON REQUEST OF SPONSOR), THEIR SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, RETAILERS, DISTRIBUTORS, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONS AGENCIES, SUPPLIERS, AND THOSE ACTING PURSUANT TO ITS AUTHORITY, THE RIGHT AND PERMISSION TO PRINT, PUBLISH, BROADCAST, AND USE, WORLDWIDE IN ANY MEDIA NOW KNOWN OR HEREAFTER DEVELOPED, AT ANY TIME OR TIMES, EACH WINNER’S NAME, BUSINESS NAME, PORTRAIT, PICTURE, VOICE, LIKENESS, SOCIAL MEDIA HANDLE, AND BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION FOR ADVERTISING, TRADE, AND PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES WITHOUT ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATION, COMPENSATION, PERMISSION, OR NOTIFICATION.
11. Governing Law / Disputes / Arbitration.
THE CONSTRUCTION, VALIDITY, INTERPRETATION AND ENFORCEABILITY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND OBLIGATIONS AS BETWEEN A PARTICIPANT AND THE SPONSOR IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROMOTION SHALL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE PROVINCE OF ONTARIO, CANADA, AND THE FEDERAL LAWS OF CANADA APPLICABLE IN ONTARIO. THE PROMOTION IS SUBJECT TO ALL APPLICABLE FEDERAL, PROVINCIAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS, AND IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

14. Information Submitted.
Information and materials submitted by or collected from participants are subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy (available at https://ielts.idp.com/canada/legal-notices). By entering this PROMOTION, each participant expressly consents to the Sponsor, its agents, and/or representatives, storing, sharing, and using the personal information submitted only for the purpose of administering the PROMOTION and in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy, and no communication unrelated to the Promotion, commercial or otherwise, will be sent to the participant by the Sponsor. This section does not limit any other consent(s) that an individual may provide the Sponsor or others in relation to the collection, use and/or disclosure of their personal information. Any inquiry concerning the personal information held by the Sponsor should be addressed to privacyofficer@idp.com.
15. Miscellaneous.
The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules will not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision of the Official Rules is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, the other provisions will remain in effect and will be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules will not constitute a waiver of that provision. Headings are solely for convenience of reference and will not be deemed to affect in any manner the meaning or intent of the documents or any provision hereof. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any PROMOTION-related materials, privacy policy or terms of use on a PROMOTION-related website and/or the terms and conditions of the Official Rules, the Official Rules shall prevail, govern, and control.
