IELTS test takers will now only wait as little as three days to get their results back, thanks to new improvements introduced to help people get their international career and study goals back on track.
Anyone who takes IELTS on computer will now receive their results typically within 1 to 5 days, down from the previous standard time of 5 to 7 days.
In addition to faster results, IDP Education – a co-owner of the test – has launched a global webinar series to help people head into their test empowered to achieve their highest score.
Warwick Freeland, Chief Strategy Officer and Managing Director - IELTS, IDP Education, said while many people’s global work and study plans were paused due to the pandemic, the IELTS team is here to help people progress their goals in a safe and supported manner.
“IELTS will play a critical role in rebuilding our global community. The world needs doctors, nurses, students, scientists and big thinkers now more than ever,” Mr Freeland said.

The webinar series, taking place across Zoom and Facebook Live in 30 countries, aims to empower test takers to prepare for IELTS from the convenience of their home.
With the first webinar set to take place on 24 September 2020, this series will help test takers understand the ‘new normal’. What that might mean for their dreams of living and studying abroad, while also helping them to use this time for their IELTS preparation.
The series includes a range of topics such as ‘IELTS myth-busting’ to ‘IELTS Masterclasses’ and ‘IELTS Q&As’ there will be a webinar every fortnight to help test takers get their questions answered from IELTS Experts.
