You can book your IELTS test online or offline by visiting your nearest IDP branch.

You can pay your IELTS test fees by using the following methods:

• Pay in cash at any of the IDP IELTS branches if you registered offline

• Pay through a bank transfer

Five to seven days before your IELTS test, you will receive a final confirmation email with the test date, time, and venue. If bookings are made fewer than five days before the test date, the final confirmation email will be sent as soon as possible. Make sure that IDP emails are permitted in your email account settings and check your spam/junk folder frequently if you don't seem to be receiving any.

Each candidate is issued only one IELTS TRF (Test Report Form) free of charge, which is valid for two years. Unless you are applying to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), or the United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA); In these cases, you can receive two free of charge. To avail these two copies, you’ll have to provide proof of application to CIC and UKBA. Up to five copies of your TRF will be posted electronically to the institution(s) that you list on your IELTS application form free of charge.

Also, regular postage for additional hard copies is not free of charge, and there may be extra charges for courier services and/or overseas postage that are passed onto you. Contact your IELTS test centre for more information.

When will I receive my test results?

• IELTS on paper : Your test results and your Test Report Form (TRF) will be available 13 days after completing the test.

• IELTS on computer : You can view your test results 3 to 5 days after completing the test.

• IELTS on computer for UKVI: You can view your test results 3 to 5 days after completing the test.

• IELTS for UKVI on paper: If you have taken the IELTS Academic for UKVI or the IELTS General Training for UKVI tests, you can view your test results 13 days after completing the test.

• Life Skills for UKVI : You can access your results seven days after completing the Life Skills A1 or B1 tests.

How many Test Report Forms (TRFs) am I entitled to?

• If you are applying to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) or the United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA), you will be eligible to receive two copies of your test report form. It is necessary to show proof of CIC and UKBA applications.

• The relevant institution(s) you have mentioned on your IELTS application form will receive up to five free electronic copies of your TRF. Regular postage is not free for unlimited hard copies. You can be subject to additional fees for courier services and/or international postage.

• If you lose your TRF, contact the test centre which issued your results.

You must pay an enquiry fee, which is fully refunded if your band score changes. You can contact your local test centre for more information about fees.

An experienced senior IELTS examiner who is not aware of the original marks given for each section of the exam —Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking—will remark your IELTS test if you request so. After that, the remarked results are communicated to your test centre, and if the mark has changed, you will receive a new Test Report Form (TRF).
